While the election esults might show a hung parliament and some concern for the population in general, for firms this adds more pressure on top of that dumped on by the current recession. For firms who are waiting for payment of accounts for projects completed or equipment provided to larger firms, their finances might be low already and need to have this account paid. The concern surrounding a hung parliament can make all firms; large and small ask what the solution for tackling the huge national debt might be and if they are to bear a significant burden. However for the small business which has done the work as requested it is only fair that they are paid for the projects completed and not asked to wait because of potential national pressures.
The small business might well have already contacted the large business and not received a satisfactory answer so might feel satisfied in looking for a Debt Collection solution. The directions might be restricted by available cash and perhaps some concern over passing a Debt Collection job to another business and their OK to take whatever measures they like. By using an accepted solution for Debt Collection such as lawyers or Debt Collection organisations there will be risks and fees involved, but they might have a good chance of getting their account paid. It is no surprise that thenumber of Debt Collection organisations and lawyers offering Debt Collection services has increased, as the recession has caused debt problems and there are those who will try and capitalise on that.
The small business would be best advised to look in a different direction and evaluate Debt Collection Software, which will not only be more economical but will also allow them to handle the dealings with the large business. Debt Collection Software can be bought from £40 to over £100 and when compared to the charges for lawyers or Debt Collection organisations of some 10% to over 20% of the account value, Debt Collection Software is good value for money.
Naturally the small business should not expect an out-of-the-box solution but rather will have to cater it like any other project, allocating workers to operate the Debt Collection Software package and to write Debt Collection Letters. This is where managing the dealings with the large business comes in since the Debt Collection Letters are the crux of the Debt Collection operation and also the main communications medium during the Debt Collection operation. To help the small business to get started, the Debt Collection Software should have a set of instructions that will not only explain how the Debt Collection operation works, but also how to write convincing Debt Collection Letters. The Debt Collection Letters are so crucial and so the workers chosen to write them should have a good command of English, since sending out Debt Collection Letters with spelling or grammatical issues would be harmful to the small firms cause. The Debt Collection Software will need to have some database functionality either internally or via connection to commercial database systems. In this way the Debt Collection Software can store all of the Debt Collection actions, such as composing and sending out Debt Collection Letters, receipt of replies and emails and recording phone calls. If the Debt Collection operation does not produce the required results and the small business wants to take the large business to court then the Debt Collection Software should be able to present a report from the database that would satisfy the court officers of efforts prior to the court date.
